Junior starlets, Kenya’s under U17s football team, have made histroy after qualifying for the world cup.
The team was hosted by President William Ruto at State House on Wednesday, 18th Sepetember.
During his speech, President Ruto congratulated the team and said he was very happy with the collaboration between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Sports.
He said he was very happy that the ladies were to go to Spain to participate then come back to Kenya and still do their exams as intended.
President William Ruto participated in a friendly match with them.
He put on jersey no 9 as the main striker representing the white team against the green team.
Ruto officially handed them the Kenyan flag as he bid them off.
