Bahati Constituency MP does not split household bills with his wife since it’s not biblical.
According to the MP a man should provide for his family.

Bahati Constituency MP Kimani Ngunjiri has recently expressed his thoughts and beliefs on splitting of household bills.
In an interview with Dr. Kingori, the MP stated that he believes a man should provide for his family and splitting household bills with wife is not biblical.
“I don’t like this practice where you sit down with your wife and decide who pays what bills, that’s not good. Go to the Bible, a man must provide. What do I mean? Let mama have her money, even if it’s her salary. If you want a good life, don’t bring up the question of who will pay what bills. Provide with what you have, even if she earns more than you. Provide, whether it’s clothes or food.”
According to the politician, if a man keeps on providing without splitting the bills with the wife, one day the wife can wake up and ask what they should do with her own money.
“If you provide that way, one day she may wake up and say, By the way, I have this money. What do we do with it?
