President William Ruto has welcomed Donald Trump’s abolishment of LGBTQ movement months after allowing the movement in Kenya.
Speaking during a church service at the Global Cathedral Church in Nairobi, the head of state noted that Trump’s policy direction aligns with biblical teachings.
According to Ruto,Kenya has long upheld the belief in the existence of only two genders, grounded in faith and tradition.

“Contrary to the past, the United States has welcomed certain developments that emphasize a clear policy direction; boys should remain boys, men should remain men, girls should remain girls, and women should remain women.”
The president did not forget to highlight the strong partnership between Kenya and the United States, describing it as a bond of friendship and a blessing to Kenya.
Recently president Trump during his inauguration, stated that the US would henceforth recognise only two genders: male and female, bringing an end to the LGBTQ movement.
However Ruto’s comment has sparked a lot of debate since Kenya has made strides in promoting gender equality and LGBTQ+ rights, albeit cautiously.
