“Paul will be remembered for his industrious spirit, his dedication as a professional long-distance truck driver, and his deep love for family and country. In Paul, we have lost a hard-working and honorable Kenyan. May God grant comfort to the Muraya family and all who knew and loved him. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” the President noted.

Paul Kareithi Muraya died on April 14 while receiving treatment at Mathari Hospital in Nyeri.

According to gospel artist Karangu Muraya, his brother had been suffering from complications arising from a road accident on February 17, 2025, which left him with serious injuries requiring prolonged medical care.

The injuries are said to have contributed to his worsening health condition over time.

President William Ruto, in his condolence message, highlighted Paul’s positive character and the qualities that endeared him to his family and community.

Karangu also mourned his brother through a social media post.

Funeral arrangements are in progress, with the family already holding planning meetings ahead of the burial.
