Media personality Janet Mbugua has exited NTV’s Fixing the Nation show after one year.
Mbugua made the announcement on Friday, April 17, during her final appearance on the morning show.
She said the decision to leave was driven by personal and professional priorities, noting that it was a difficult but necessary step.

She thanked her co-hosts Eric Latiff and Mariam Bishar, as well as the production team, for their support and contribution to the show’s success.
“This is my last fixing the nation show. It’s not an easy decision; it was one that was necessary, and I will absolutely miss this family. Just personal and professional priorities needed me to redirect elsewhere.As I wrap my time on Fixing the Nation, I want to thank the team, both on and off the air, for the work and consistency that goes into making the show what it is every day,” Mbugua stated.
Janet also disclosed that Fellaris Wambui will take over as co-host of Fixing the Nation following her exit from the show.
Nation Media Group CEO Geoffrey Odundo also paid tribute to Mbugua, praising her contribution to the programme and wishing her well in her future endeavours.
Mbugua, a seasoned media personality, previously worked as a senior news anchor at Citizen TV.
She began her career at Capital FM before moving to ETV in Johannesburg, South Africa, and later joined Royal Media Services.
