The National Police Service (NPS) has commended Kenyans for maintaining peace and observing established protocols during the Linda Mwananchi political rally held at Jacaranda Grounds in Embakasi, Nairobi, on Sunday, September 13.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, September 16, the NPS said it had received positive feedback from members of the public following the political gathering, which brought together leaders, supporters and other participants.
The police service said the rally was conducted peacefully, with organisers, participants and security officers exercising restraint and respecting one another throughout the event.

According to the NPS, the peaceful nature of the gathering demonstrated that Kenyans can exercise their constitutional freedoms while respecting the law and maintaining public order.
The service also thanked members of the public for their cooperation and adherence to established procedures during the rally.
The NPS said the events at Jacaranda Grounds showed that political expression can take place without violence or disruption of public order.
It urged political leaders, their supporters and other stakeholders to uphold similar standards during future political engagements across the country.
The service further encouraged Kenyans to continue exercising their constitutional rights peacefully and within the law while cooperating with security agencies during public gatherings.
The statement comes as political activities continue to increase ahead of the 2027 General Election, with various political groups holding meetings and rallies in different parts of the country.
The NPS reiterated its commitment to facilitating lawful political activities while maintaining security and public order during public gatherings.
