Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro has opened up about his fallout with President William Ruto’s administration.
Speaking during an interview on Wednesday, January 14, Nyoro said the ruling UDA party had strayed from the promises it made to Kenyans during the campaign period.
He argued that the government had failed to keep its pledge to slow down borrowing, noting that the current administration has continued to take on significant loans despite assurances to the contrary.

Nyoro said his main concern centres on the state of the economy, stressing that Kenyans were assured the government would adopt a cautious approach to borrowing in order to safeguard the country’s long-term economic stability.
The Kiharu MP also faulted the Ruto administration for failing to adequately fund the education sector, saying the government has not prioritised education as promised during the campaign period.
Nyoro argued that the party had assured Kenyans it would place education at the centre of its agenda, but maintained that this commitment has not been reflected in current policies or budgetary allocations.
He added that young people, in particular, are increasingly expressing dissatisfaction with the direction the government has taken.
The UDA legislator further expressed disappointment over what he described as the administration’s failure to honour its campaign pledges to Kenyans.
In recent days, Nyoro has been openly critical of the government’s economic decisions, notably opposing the proposed sale of Safaricom PLC shares and the planned expansion of the Rironi–Mau Summit highway.
