Githunguri Member of Parliament Gathoni Wamuchomba has recently urged former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to advocate for Kenyans in general and not just the Mount Kenya region.
Speaking during an interview with NTV, the MP noted that Gachagua should be ‘sensitive’ and more accommodating to other communities to prove that he is a national leader.
Wamuchomba went on to reveal that she has already had a conversation many times with Gachagua on the issue.

“He doesn’t have to necessarily agree with me, but if it’s a fact, it is a fact. Rigathi needs to realise that he has the mountain with him; he does not have to talk and punch again about the mountain,” she stated.
She urged the former DP to shift his focus and fight for other ‘forgotten’ communities in the country, since he already has the mountain with him.
“He needs to be seen to be more accommodating to other communities. The same energy he has been using to fight for the mountain, he needs to use to advocate for people who are evicted in other areas and the forgotten communities of this country. If he really is a national leader, we need to see him fighting for other Kenyans,” she stated.
Wamuchomba moreover noted that fighting for other communities would amplify the former DP’s push for lower taxation and other matters affecting the people of Kenya.
MP Wamuchomba is a close ally of the former DP Rigathi Gachagua.
