Senior Pastor, James Njoroge, has resigned at Bishop Ben Kiengei’s.
The resignation is allegedly linked to President William Ruto’s visit to the church.
In a statement on Thursday, March 5, 2026, Pastor James announced that his five years serving under Kiengei have come to an end.
The senior Pastor revealed that he came to the decision after deep soul-searching and felt the need to finally step down.
“I have been soul-searching myself, and I have seen it worthy to step down from the church. This comes as a polite notice that henceforth, I, Njoroge James, and my family will no longer serve in JCM,” he stated.
“I want to take this chance to thank my Bishop, Benson Kamau. It has been 5 amazing years serving under your able leadership and guidance. We started this journey together, back in AIPCA, where we served by preaching the compassionate gospel for 2 years, that is, in Gatundu and Kibia”, Pastor James added.

He expressed gratitude at having been entrusted with the opportunity to serve as JCM as a church administrator and a leader within the church for three years.
“I am a happy man. God expanded your corners, and you opened JCM, where I have served under your ministry for 3 years now as the church admin. Thank you for entrusting me to lead the church. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to foresee the growth and fulfilment of the JCM vision,” the senior Pastor said.
He further stated that he had learnt a lot while serving under Bishop Kiengei.
“I have learnt a lot from you as an individual, and I will carry those lessons with me in my next chapter. It has been an amazing 5 years of serving God in this ministry, and as I walk into the next phase of my life, may His guidance, strength, favour and mercy walk with me.”
