Judiciary Refutes Nelson Havi’s Claims of CJ Koome’s 32 Police Officers

The Judiciary Service Commission (JSC) has declined that Chief Justice Martha Koome was allocated 32 police officers.

This was in response to a post shared by former Law Society of Kenya (LSK) Nelson Havi on Tuesday 28th January 2025 in the morning that claimed Koome was allocated 32 police officers.

The post was accompanied with a list which contained Koome’s bodyguards, driver, security and escort among others.

CJ Martha Koome is allocated 32 unknown police officers to guard her, a huge number by all means. The temporary recall of three for training and promotion cannot be withdrawal of her security. She must be called out for the dishonesty displayed on this sensitive issue.

Nelson Havi alleged in his post.

Nelson Havi also allegedly accused Koome of dishonesty by allegedly accusing the CS Interior and IG Douglas Kanja of withdrawing her security detail.

CS Interior on the other hand denied the claims stating that her former security detail had been promoted and new were going to be reinstated.

While dismissing the claims, the judiciary stated that the claims by Nelson Havi were purposefully deceptive.

This is not just inaccurate- it is purposefully deceptive.
