Media personality Joyce Omondi has announced her departure from Citizen TV’s gospel show Rauka after four years.
In a statement issued on Saturday, April 18, Omondi confirmed that her final appearance as host will be on Sunday, April 19.
The renowned gospel musician described her time on the Sunday morning programme as an honour, expressing appreciation for the opportunity to serve and connect with viewers throughout her tenure.

This marks the second time Omondi has exited Rauka.
She previously hosted the show from 2012 to 2013 before being replaced by musician Kambua.
Joyce Omondi made her return to Rauka in January 2022 after Kambua stepped away from Citizen TV.
The gospel programme airs every Sunday on Citizen TV from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., with Omondi co-hosting alongside Ken the Deejay.
This development comes just a day after Janet Mbugua exited NTV’s morning show Fixing the Nation after a one-year stint.
Mbugua announced her departure on Friday, April 17, during her final broadcast, noting that the decision, while difficult, was driven by the need to refocus on evolving personal and professional priorities.
Following her exit, NTV confirmed that Fellaris Wambui will take over her role on the show.
Co-host Eric Latiff announced the transition, while also recognising Mbugua’s contribution and impact during her time on the programme.
