Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has been feted with three prestigious international awards.
The awards were presented by the American University of Peace and Governance (AUPG, USA).
The awards were in recognition of the achievements in sustainable development and sustainable humanitarian and social work.
In a statement, Sonko revealed that he received the awards on Friday, September 26, 2025.
“I was conferred with a joint honours of Leadership Excellence Award by UNIPGC and the Jewel Howard Taylor Leadership Program (and Honorary doctorate in Leadership and Governance by the American University of Peace and Governance, USA in recognition of my outstanding contributions to sustainable humanitarian efforts, social work and Human Capital development”, the statement read.
