The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has officially opened phase two of its modern interview facilities at its South Rift Regional Office in Nakuru.

The even took place on Friday, February 13, 2026.

The commission partnered with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the United States Embassy, and the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INLEA) to deliver the upgraded facilities.

“The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), in partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the United States Embassy, and the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), yesterday commissioned phase two of its state-of-the-art interview facilities at the Commission’s South Rift Regional Office in Nakuru”, EACC stated.

This development marks Nakuru as the first regional office outside Nairobi to benefit from this transformation.

This marks a significant milestone in Kenya’s fight against corruption beyond the capital.

According to reports, the State-of-the-art interview rooms are equipped with technology that ensures every statement recorded meets international standards, protecting both investigators and suspects during the interrogation process.

“The project forms part of the Commission’s broader strategy to strengthen investigative capacity, enhance evidence integrity, and align its operations with international best practice. The upgraded facilities are expected to improve the quality of interviews and reinforce transparency and professionalism in anti-corruption investigations”, EACC added.
