Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka has appointed constitutional lawyer Ndegwa Njiru as the party’s first official spokesperson.
During the announcement, Kalonzo described the move as part of a broader reorganisation aimed at strengthening the party ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The announcement was made on Friday, August 7, during a press conference in Nairobi, where Kalonzo also unveiled a series of leadership changes and new appointments within the party as it continues positioning itself as a key force in the opposition.
According to the Wiper Party Leader, the party had created the new office of spokesperson to improve communication as Wiper expands its national political activities.
Additionally , Kalonzo praised the advocate’s legal career, saying he had consistently defended constitutional rights and stood up against abuse of power.
“Mr. Ndegwa Njiru becomes the party’s first Spokesperson, a new office created for a new season of struggle. Njiru is a constitutional advocate of the High Court, admitted to the Bar in 2011 and founder of Ndegwa & Ndegwa Advocates, who has spent his career standing between ordinary citizens and the arbitrary exercise of power,” Kalonzo said.
“Wakili Ndegwa has stood in the impeachment courtrooms of this country and stood beside young Kenyans arrested for exercising their constitutionally guaranteed rights. He has stood for Members of Parliament unlawfully detained”, he added.
