The three met at the consecration and installation of Bishop Peter Kimani Ndung’u at Embu County on 16th November 2024.
This became the first time that the Head of the Republic and the former Deputy President met after the impeachment of Rigathi Gachagua in October.

He was found guilty of 5 grounds out of 11 grounds and got kicked out by the Senate.
The current Deputy Preisdent Kithure Kindiki also attended the ordination.
There were jubilations as catholic songs were being sang.

Rigathi Gachagua was spotted sitting in the regular sit with others as he was the first one to arrive at the event.
A lot of Catholics attendants and a couple of political leaders from the region also attended the event.
The ordination comes after the clergy had accused elective leaders of not doing their work. This concern came after the many abductions, killings and disappearances that have increased in Kenya.
President Ruto on the other hand urged the leaders to stop criticism and work together towards a nation that every citizen can be proud of and focus on matters that are important to Kenyans.
