Video Shows Governor Otuoma Kicking Resident in Heated Altercation

Busia Governor Paul Otuoma has sparked online debate after a disturbing video showing him involved in an altercation during a public event surfaced.

Reports indicate that the governor was distributing maize seeds within the county when the altercation happened.

In the viral video, Otuoma was seen handing over packets of maize seeds to residents who had lined up.

During the line up, a man was seen jumping the queue and heading to where the governor was, ready to receive two packets of maize.

As the governor was about to hand over the packets, he paused, probably after realisation of what had happened.

It was then that Otuoma kicked the man while shouting at him to leave immediately.

However, even after the man had left the queue, the governor could be seen and heard shouting at the top of his voice, telling him to leave.

The video sparked conversations online, with a focus on how elected and appointed leaders treat ordinary Kenyans.

While some noted that arrogance and violence caught in the video are a daily occurrence, others faulted the victim for irritating the governor by attempting to jump the queue and cause chaos in an otherwise peaceful and well-organised event.
