Ulinzi Thrash Bunyore to Keep Women Premier Title Hopes Alive

Ulinzi Starlets, competing in the FKF Women’s Premier League, received a significant boost in their title race after securing a 3-0 victory against Bunyore Starlets at the Ulinzi Complex.

Before the match, Ulinzi needed a win to keep their championship hopes alive, while Bunyore was hoping for a victory to enhance their dwindling survival chances.

The first half of the game was mostly uneventful, with the only notable incident being the injury to Diana Shakava, who was substituted by Siliha Rosaha after 30 minutes.

Ulinzi came out strong in the second half and were rewarded in the 52nd minute when Rosaha scored from close range, capitalizing on a cross from Fasila ‘Kamama’ Adhiambo.

This goal seemed to deflate Bunyore’s spirits, and they conceded again just six minutes later, with Sheryl Andiba finding the net after Joy Kingady hit the woodwork.

Kingady wasn’t to be denied again and scored her 12th goal of the season in the 76th minute. After getting past a defender and rounding the goalkeeper, she capped off Ulinzi’s scoring with their third goal of the day, maintaining a 3-0 lead until the final whistle.

In another match on the same day, Trinity Starlets surprised Zetech Sparks by defeating the Varsity side 3-2 at Zetech University, located at the Mang’u campus.
