An American fugitive was arrested in Nairobi for a murder he committed 15 years ago and extradited to the United States to face justice.
The man, who comes from Miami, Florida, is reported to have brutally shot a man in a robbery gone wrong in 2010 when he 19-years-old.
According to reports, the suspect went to the residence of the victim, on October 7, 2010 and shot him in the chest when he opened the door.
According to one of the witnesses, who was the suspect’s roommate, the suspect had planned to rob Caniza of his drugs and money when things took a turn.
Among other suspects were the suspect’s mother who claimed that her son had called her days after the mother and claimed that his life was in danger.
She immediately booked him a flight back home to Brazil but it is unclear how he ended up in Kenya.
The suspect was extradite back to Miami where he faces charges of murder and currently being held in a correctional centre after being denied bond.
