Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has finally returned to his office after a 60-day court-ordered ban over corruption allegations.

Taking to his official socials on Monday, July 21, Natembeya said he is stronger, more focused, and determined to serve the people of the county without distraction.

The county boss stated that his administration’s development agenda would not be derailed, further reaffirming his dedication to fulfilling the promises he made during his campaign.

While addressing what he described as coordinated attempts to destabilize his government, the governor warned that he will not be moved.

On May 20, Natembeya was barred by the Court from accessing his county office for 60 days, following his release on bail related to graft charges.

He was granted a bail of Ksh 500,000 in cash or a Ksh1 million bond with a surety after he was charged with unlawful acquisition of public funds and conflict of interest.

As part of the bail conditions, the court barred him from entering his official office for 60 days.

He was also prohibited from leaving the country without the court’s permission and was ordered not to contact any witnesses or comment publicly on the case.
