Kasipul Member of Parliament (MP) Charles Ong’ondo has passed away after being gunned down.
Reports indicate that the lawmaker was shot dead on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in the evening near City Mortuary roundabout by suspected gunmen.
According to reports, the two gunmen were on a motorbike when they shot Charles before fleeing from the scene.
One of the gunmen alighted from the motorbike and shot the MP at close range.

Although they tried to rush him to the hospital, the lawmaker was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Charles was serving his second term in office where he was reelected to office on the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket.
Following his death, the police have launched investigations into the party.
The ODM party leadership have also mourned the death of MP Kaspul.
According to them, the lawmaker left the parliament at 6:15 pm after participating in the business of the day.
He was shot by a gunman along Ngong road in Nairobi.
The matter saddens the Orange Democratic Party, which has sent its condolences and called on the police to investigate the shooting incident and bring the culprits to book.
