According to detectives, the suspect was trucked to the Miritini area of Mombasa County and arrested at his hideout.

After a search of his house, several items were recovered and DCI believe are linked to potential subversive activity.

Okindo is currently in police custody and is awaiting arraignment.

The arrest comes days after detectives arrested Patrick Osoi, a former Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldier and U.S. Army veteran, in connection with the formation of the Fighting Brutality and Impunity (FBI) movement.

Osoi was arrested on Tuesday, August 29, and faces serious charges, including terrorism facilitation, recruitment, possession of firearms and ammunition without certification, and preparation to commit a felony.

Hours later, Jackson Kuria Kihara, widely known by his alias Cop Shakur, was also arrested.

The former prison officer was nabbed while heading to the Kahawa Law Courts to show support for Osoi.

Upon his arrest, officers recovered a red beret labeled ‘FBI,’ further linking him to the activist movement.

Meanwhile, Police Constable Hiram Kimathi, another member of the FBI group, was arrested from his hideout in Makutano, Meru County.

The arrest is suspected to be in relation to the formation of the ‘FBI’ movement alongside Cop Shakur and Osoi.
