Susan Kihika Comforts Beatrice Elachi After Son’s Death

Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika is among the many Kenyan leaders who has sent a condolences message to MP Beatrice Elachi hours after son’s death.

Taking to her socials, Governor Kihika who is currently in the US condoled with MP Elachi and her family.

“My deepest condolences to my sister Hon Beatrice Elachi on the loss of your dear son Elvis Murakana. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family in this time of great sadness.  May the Lord grant you sustaining grace, peace and comfort through this difficult time.”

Elvis Murakana, the son of Dagoretti North Member of Parliament Beatrice Elachi passed away on Tuesday, March 25, after allegedly succumbing to injuries sustained during a grisly road accident.

He had been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit and was receiving treatment until his passing.

President Ruto also led leaders in sending out a condolence message to Elachi on the evening of Tuesday.

“May God grant Mheshimiwa Beatrice Elachi and the family strength to bear with the loss of their dear son, Elvis Murakana. Be comforted by the word of the Lord in Psalm 147:3: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds,” Ruto noted.

The Orange Democratic Party, which sponsored Elachi to the Dagoretti North seat, also sent out their commiserations. 

“May God grant Hon. Beatrice Elachi (MP, Dagoretti North) and her family the fortitude and strength to overcome the pain of losing her son Elvis Murakana Namenya. It is such a huge loss to Mheshimiwa. As a party we stand with her during this difficult moment of mourning and grief,” ODM stated in a statement.

Other noticeable leaders who have condoled with the family include Busia county woman representative Catherine Omanyo, Kileleshwa Member of County Assembly (MCA) Robert Alai, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru among others.
