Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has called on residents of Emurua Dikirr to welcome former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua during his tour of the constituency on Friday, August 21, urging them to shun violence and maintain peace.
Taking to his official pages, Sudi emphasized that no one should be injured or lose blood because of politics, appealing to the locals to allow Gachagua to speak his mind and leave peacefully.
He described tolerance as the kind of Kenya that citizens should aspire to build.

Gachagua is scheduled to hold a series of rallies in Emurua Dikirr to popularize his Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) ahead of the 2027 General Election.
However, his visit has been preceded by tension after he raised concerns about alleged threats against him and his entourage.
In a letter to Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja on Thursday, Gachagua claimed that his decision to visit the constituency had been met with threats from the sitting MP, David Keter, and other individuals.
He alleged that the threats had been captured on video and circulated on social media, as well as reported by mainstream media.
Gachagua further alleged that Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen and Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo had financed Keter to mobilise individuals whom he claimed could cause violence during the planned visit.
He claimed that instructions had been issued for the Homa Bay chaos to serve as a shadow of what needed to happen in Emurua Dikirr.
The former Deputy President’s tour comes amid heightened political tensions, with both sides calling for calm as he seeks to expand his political influence in the region.
