Billionaire Elon Musk’s Starlink communications network has faced increasing stiff challenges to its dominance of high-speed satellite internet.
Among his competitors includes China-backed Space sail and Amazon founder Jeff Bezo’s project.
The billionaire has launched more satellites than all his competitors combined since 2020.
Elon Musk’s satellite provides high-speed internet for remote communications, maritime operations and militaries in conflict zones.

However, the China-backed space sail controlled by the Shanghai government has increased its international expansion. It
It signed an agreement on November 2024 to provide services in Brazil and might dominate in over 30 countries.
According to Kazakh embassy in Beijing, the satellite had already began its operations in Kazakhstan by this year in January.
Space sail plans to introduce 648 low Earth Orbit satellites this year with ambitions to launch up to 15,000 by 20230 whereas Starlink currently operates about 7,000 satellites and aims 42,000 by 2030.
The emergence of competition to Starlink has been welcomed by Brazil’s government.
The country aims to achieve high-speed internet for those in reserve areas.
