At least fourteen people have died following a horrific road accident along the Webuye–Kitale Highway.
The tragic crash occurred on the night of Monday, March 9, in the Malaha area after a truck reportedly lost control and ploughed into several vehicles and motorcycles along the busy highway.
A Public Service Vehicle (PSV) was among the vehicles caught up in the devastating collision, which left a trail of destruction at the scene.

Western Region Traffic Police Commander Walter Cheboren confirmed the incident, stating that the accident also left 11 other people injured.
Emergency response teams were quickly dispatched to the scene, where they worked to rescue survivors and clear the wreckage.
The injured victims were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment as authorities launched investigations into the cause of the crash.
Police have urged motorists to exercise caution on the roads as investigations into the fatal accident continue.
Westlands Member of Parliament Tim Wanyonyi expressed his condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the tragic accident.
In a statement released after the incident, the legislator said he received the news of the deadly crash with deep sorrow and sympathized with those affected.
The lawmaker also urged motorists and other road users to remain vigilant and prioritize safety while on the road.
He called on drivers to be especially cautious when approaching busy junctions and accident-prone areas, noting that many lives can be saved through responsible driving.
