Huduma Kenya has announced a temporary suspension of services at all Huduma Centres nationwide.
According to the agency, the disruption was caused by a power outage affecting its data centre in Nakuru.
The outage has since affected the availability of key government services provided at the centres nationwide.
“We wish to inform the public that services are temporarily unavailable at the Huduma centre due to a power outage that affected our data centre in Nakuru,” Huduma stated.
According to Huduma Kenya, technical teams have been deployed to address the issue and restore normal operations.
Additionally, the agency has assured the public that efforts are underway to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
Among the affected service points are Huduma Contact and the Tele-Counselling Centre.
Other services include delayed processing of national identification cards, including new applications, replacements, and collection, affecting citizens needing IDs for essential transactions.
Passport application services and document verification processes will likely face interruptions, slowing travel plans, job applications, and international engagements that rely on the timely issuance and validation of official travel documents.
