President Ruto has termed attacks on Police Officers and Police stations as a declaration of war.
Speaking on July 9, at the Kilimani Police Station, the Head of State noted that the government is going to deal with anyone behind attacks on officers and security installations.
“Those who attack our police, security installations, including police stations, that is a a declaration of war and terrorism. We are going to deal with you firmly. We cannot have a nation that is run by terror and violence. It cannot happen under my watch,” said Ruto.

Ruto moreover noted that he will use whatever means possible to stabilize the country and ensure there is peace.
According to the President, the people behind violent attacks during the recent protests will be jailed, adding that the leaders who allegedly sponsored them will face consequences.
“All those found to be involved in schemes to steal and loot public property will face legal action and will be jailed. The leaders behind the chaos, we are coming after you. You cannot sponsor violence in Kenya and expect to go scot-free,” the President noted.
Commenting on the issue of unemployment, Ruto said the problem of unemployment in the country did not start during his tenure.
He argued that the unemployment crisis had been there long before he assumed office, and the previous regimes had no proper plan to manage it.
