William Ruto Gives Sh 20M to Jesus Winners, Promises Sh 100M More

President William Ruto has promised to help Jesus Winner Ministry church situated in Roysambu, Nairobi raise money to put up a futuristic worship centre.

Speaking during the church service, Ruto started by criticizing church leaders who are opposed to his money donations to the church and church projects.

According to the Head of State, when giving donations he is only giving to God.

He went on to note that as a reader of the Bible, he has never seen where it is written that a Bishop should return any offerings to whoever has given.

“I have been blamed many times over giving in church. When we give to God, we are not giving a human being. The offerings we give are for God, not the bishop or the people here. I read the Bible and I have looked for where it says that when you give to God, the Bishop returns your offering to you,” the President said.

Ruto moreover noted that he is a product of giving to God.

“Some of us, including myself, I am a product of giving to God and I’m unapologetic and I do it on the firm foundation of the scriptures.”

The president went on to say that he would personally give Sh20 million for the construction of the Jesus Winner Ministry church, in addition to helping them secure land.

He added that he would also want to have a joint fundraiser with the church.

Ruto further noted that together with his friends, they will help raise another Sh100 million for the church.

“In the construction of our church, I will personally give Sh20 million. I will come, we fundraise together. I will plan with my friends and we will find Sh100 million. We will build this church so that we can shame the enemies of our country,” he said.

His remarks come at the backdrop of instances where church leaders have returned offerings and donations from politicians.
