Roma achieved a remarkable 4-0 victory against Monza at the Stadio Olimpico in Serie A on Monday.
This crucial win propelled Roma to ninth place in the rankings, just two points away from European qualification and nine points shy of the Champions League position.
Under the leadership of Claudio Ranieri, the team has demonstrated impressive consistency, remaining undefeated in the league since December 15. Their remarkable resurgence highlights their determination to climb the standings and secure a spot in European competitions.
From the start, Roma displayed dominance in both possession and attack. Alexis Saelemaekers opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a well-placed left-footed shot, reminiscent of Paulo Dybala’s signature finishes.
Continuing their offensive onslaught, Roma doubled their lead in the 31st minute. Matìas Soulè showcased excellent footwork and dribbling before delivering a fantastic cross, which Eldor Shomurodov met with a powerful header, solidifying Roma’s control in the first half.
In the second half, Roma maintained their dominance by controlling possession and pushing forward. In the 73rd minute, Bryan Cristante provided a precise pass to Angeliño, who fired a low left-footed shot into the net to widen the lead.
Captain Cristante capped off the victory in the 87th minute by rising above the defense to head home a well-delivered corner from substitute Paulo Dybala.
