Police in Nairobi have arrested a robbery suspect and recovered a stolen mobile phone and a weapon following a swift operation in Starehe Sub-County.
According to the National Police Service (NPS), officers from Pangani Police Station acted on a tip-off about a robbery on General Waruinge Road.
An undercover police team intervened immediately after receiving the information, pursued the fleeing suspects and managed to intercept one of them.

A search conducted on the suspect led to the recovery of a penknife and a Tecno Spark mobile phone belonging to the complainant.
The victim has since positively identified the phone as their stolen property.
The suspect is currently being held at Pangani Police Station pending processing and arraignment.
The National Police Service has commended the officers for their prompt action and assured the public of heightened patrols nationwide.
The NPS further stated that the intensified operations are aimed at flushing out criminal elements who use motorcycles to terrorise residents.
