Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) denied Arsenal’s hopes of reaching the Champions League final in a dramatic match at Parc des Princes.
The Gunners aimed to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg but struggled against another outstanding performance by PSG’s goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma. He showcased his skills with a series of impressive saves, keeping Arsenal at bay in the early stages.
Donnarumma made a remarkable stop from Gabriel Martinelli, followed by an even better save from Martin Ødegaard’s low long-range shot, as PSG found themselves under pressure.
PSG took the lead in the 27th minute when Fabian Ruiz capitalized on a headed clearance from Thomas Partey, striking a 20-yard shot past Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya, aided by a slight deflection.
In a thrilling encounter, Donnarumma denied Bukayo Saka with another incredible save. Subsequently, Raya also made a crucial save, stopping Vitinha’s poorly taken penalty after Myles Lewis-Skelly was penalized for handball.
Partey mismanaged possession, allowing PSG to extend their lead in the 72nd minute with Achraf Hakimi scoring on the turn.
Saka finally beat Donnarumma with an angled finish just four minutes later, but it wasn’t enough to spark a comeback. He later missed a chance by shooting over an open goal. With this victory, PSG will face Inter Milan in the Champions League final in Munich.
