Talking of his leadership style, he mentioned that he will be guided by law and will put focus on empowering and enabling those around him.

“My style of leadership will be guided by the law. The position of Principal Secretary, as established, has defined roles and responsibilities in the constitution and under the Public Service Commission Act. My leadership approach will focus on empowering and enabling those around me to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities in delivering services to the public,” he said.

On media freedom, Isaboke noted that while freedom of speech is enshrined in the constitution, his approach will include referring to the law, making sure both government and media operators respect the constitution.

“Media freedom and freedom of speech are enshrined in our constitution and no one can touch them. My approach will be to refer to the law first and make sure the constitution is being respected by both government agencies and media operators,” he stated.

Isaboke holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Management and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) in Business Administration from the University of Nairobi.

President Ruto nominated Mr Isaboke late last month following a Cabinet reshuffle.
