The Head of State noted that his administration has put in place deliberate policies aimed at ending decades of marginalisation by promoting equitable development across the region.

According to Ruto, the government is expanding access to essential services while creating more economic opportunities to improve the livelihoods of residents.

He also highlighted the recently established National Infrastructure Fund, saying it will play a key role in financing major development projects in Northern Kenya.

The President explained that the fund will support investments in energy generation, water harvesting and storage, as well as irrigation projects to unlock the region’s agricultural and industrial potential.

Ruto reiterated that the national government will continue working with county leaders to ensure all parts of the country benefit from development programmes, adding that Northern Kenya remains a key focus of his administration’s transformation agenda.
