Ruto was in Migori for a developmental tour, attending an Interdenominational Prayer Service at Kadika Primary School in Suna East on Sunday morning.

After the service, the Head of State made his way to Piny Oyie where he opened the Suna East Sub County Office and laid a foundation stone for Suna West Technical and Vocational College.

Afterwards, Ruto headed to Kuria West where he broke ground for the 298-unit Kehancha Affordable Housing Project.

The incident comes after the targeted killing of Kasipul MP Charles Were.

Were was on Wednesday evening, April 30, shot and killed by unknown assailants on a motorcycle on Ngong Road, Nairobi County.

According to the investigators, the MP left the parliament buildings at around 7 PM and was accompanied by his driver and bodyguard.
