Kenya plans to advocate for predictable financing for African-led peace missions, enhanced counter-terrorism partnerships, and collaborative climate action initiatives.
State House indicated that President Ruto will also engage European leaders in bilateral discussions aimed at expanding trade, attracting investment, and accelerating the implementation of the Kenya-EU Economic Partnership Agreement.
He is expected to highlight opportunities under Kenya’s economic transformation agenda, including sectors such as energy, industry, and major infrastructure projects.
This includes large-scale irrigation supported by mega dams, the expansion of clean and industrial energy, and upgrades to roads, airports, ports, and railways through public-private partnerships.
In addition, Ruto will co-chair the AU Institutional Reform Ad Hoc Committee in his capacity as Champion of AU Institutional Reforms.
He will brief fellow heads of state on progress in implementing reform mandates designed to strengthen the Union’s governance, peace and security mechanisms, and financial independence.
