The suspect was immediately taken into custody, while the vehicle used in the transportation of the illicit alcohol was impounded and is now being held at Bumula Police Station pending further investigations.
According to the National Police Service, the successful operation highlights its continued resolve to step up the war on illicit brews.
The Service has intensified regular patrols, embraced intelligence-led operations, and strengthened collaboration with local communities.
By working hand in hand with the public, officers are able to intercept illegal consignments before they reach the market.
The Service further seeks to dismantle the networks behind their distribution, ensuring the crackdown remains effective, consistent, and far-reaching.
