The Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) has reunited a patient with his father after a three-month search.
This comes days after the hospital’s social media post on March 1, 2026, which involved an unidentified man admitted to the facility.
“We are delighted to share that Kenyatta National Hospital has successfully reunited a family after months of uncertainty and searching.Following our social media post dated 1st March 2026 about an unidentified African man admitted to our facility, the search has now come to a heart warming conclusion”, part of the statement read.
According to KNH, John.Kobia, a resident of Tigania East, Meru County, positively identified the patient as his son whose whereabouts he had been seeking over the past three months.
Reports indicate that the patient was involved in a road accident on December 4, 2025, along Thika Road and was brought to the hospital by Good Samaritans and later admitted.
“Road and was brought to Kenyatta National Hospital by Good Samaritans. Since then, he has been under our care and is recuperating well.The emotional reunion between father and son took place in the presence of Ms. Catherine Bonareri from the Medical Social Work Department”, the statement added.
The hospital further expressed gratitude to everyone who shared the social media post and supported the search.
