At least one person has died and several others were injured after a City Shuttle bus lost control and collided with multiple vehicles along Valley Road on Monday, March 9.
Reports indicate the accident happened near the Pan-Afric Hotel, causing severe traffic disruption during the morning rush hour.
Police said the bus lost control while descending the road before crashing into several vehicles.

The collision left several drivers and passengers trapped in their damaged vehicles as emergency responders rushed to the scene.
Authorities confirmed that a boda boda rider died, while his passenger suffered serious injuries.
Photos from the scene showed the City Shuttle bus’s left front side completely destroyed, highlighting the severity of the impact.
The bus driver reportedly fled the scene shortly after the accident. Witnesses said he had warned passengers moments earlier that the vehicle was experiencing brake failure.
The collision caused massive traffic congestion along Valley Road as police worked to clear the wreckage and assist the injured.
This comes a few hours after the Ministry of Health dismissed social media reports suggesting that Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale was involved in a road accident.
In a statement, the ministry clarified that Duale’s convoy had stopped at the scene of an accident at Otonglo, near the Molasses Plant in Kisumu, while he was en route to Kisumu International Airport.
The ministry noted that the Health CS promptly coordinated an emergency medical response to assist the victims.
According to the ministry, two people died at the scene, while another succumbed to injuries en route to the hospital.
“The motorcade of the Cabinet Secretary for Health, Aden Duale, today stopped at the scene of a road traffic accident at Otonglo, near the Molasses Plant in Kisumu, where the Cabinet Secretary mobilised an emergency medical response to assist the victims,” read the statement.
Additionally, 19 passengers sustained injuries and were taken to the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital for treatment.
