The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has nominated Shimanzi Ward Member of County Assembly Priscilla Mumba as the new Majority Leader of the Mombasa County Assembly.
The announcement was made by Khatri, who confirmed Mwamwiri’s removal.
Mumba criticised her predecessor saying his position prevented MCAs from getting funds for development projects in their wards.
Other leaders supported Mumba’s concerns, including Freretown MCA Mariam Baimu, who expressed her dissatisfaction with how the outgoing Majority Leader handled assembly business.
