ODM leader and Siaya Senator Oburu Oginga has moved to allay public concerns about his health following reports circulating about his condition.
In a statement on Tuesday, September 1, the senator responded to a recent digital report from a local publication, assuring Kenyans that he is in good health.
He explained that his visit to the hospital was only for a routine general check-up with his doctors and that he had since returned home.

Oburu emphasized that falling ill is a normal human experience and urged the public not to be alarmed by such occurrences.
He further assured his supporters and the wider public that he would be transparent about his health if he ever faced a serious medical condition, promising to inform them directly should such a situation arise.
“Thank you for your concerns. I have read the nations digital news and wish to state that I am very well. I had only briefly visited the hospital for a general check up with my doctors and have since returned home. Being sick is a normal human experience and should not alarm anyone. The day I am truly sick, I will inform you all, for I am a very transparent person.”
The senator’s remarks came after the local publication raised questions about his well-being, prompting an outpouring of concern from political allies, supporters, and members of the public.
His swift clarification sought to put the matter to rest and reassure those who had expressed worry.
