The National Assembly has ousted several Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) MPs critical of the government from strategic parliamentary committees.
Suba South MP Caroli Omondi has been dropped from the Constitution Implementation and Oversight Committee (CIOC) and reassigned to the Sports and Culture Committee.
His slot at the CIOC has been filled by Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba.

Meanwhile, Kitutu Chache South MP Anthony Kibagendi has been removed from the Public Investments Committee on Governance and Education, with Kasipul MP Boyd Were taking over his position.
Following the reshuffle, National Assembly Minority Leader Junet Mohamed defended the decision, terming it a firm message to members who defy party positions.
Suba South MP Caroli Omondi, however, criticised his removal from the Constitution Implementation and Oversight Committee (CIOC), arguing that he was deliberately edged out.
Omondi claimed powerful interests were uncomfortable with his role in the committee, alleging it is linked to oversight of the upcoming General Election.
The reshuffle comes weeks after Omondi was appointed Secretary General of the Azimio la Umoja coalition.
His appointment followed a National Executive Council (NEC) meeting chaired by former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Both Omondi and Kitutu Chache South MP Anthony Kibagendi are affiliated with ODM’s Linda Mwananchi faction, a group that has publicly opposed the re-election of President William Ruto.
