Former Citizen TV sports journalist Mukami Wambora has secured a new role at SportyTV, an international sports media station headquartered in Madrid, Spain.
SportyTV confirmed her appointment on Wednesday, September 3 celebrating the addition of a new voice from Africa to their newsroom.
“We are excited to welcome our newest journalist to the team. Representing Kenya and the continent of Africa, Mukami Wambora,” the outlet said.

Speaking after the appointment, Wambora expressed pride in carrying both her national and continental identity to the global sports media landscape.
“I’m really happy to be here, representing my country, Kenya, representing my continent, Africa, and now representing SportyTV,” she said.
Wambora landed her first broadcasting opportunity at Capital FM.
In 2016, she moved to Radio Africa’s 24-hour sports station, Bamba Sports, where she worked as a presenter, producer, and anchor of programs such as Monday Night Football and Sports Zone News.
In 2017, she joined Citizen TV, where she anchored prime-time sports news and appeared as an analyst on Sporty Monday.
Wambora has covered major sporting events, including the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, the Berlin Marathon, and the 2019 INEOS Challenge in Austria, where marathoner Eliud Kipchoge ran a sub-two-hour marathon.
After leaving Citizen TV, she became a co-host of the radio show, #SportOn, on Nation FM alongside Bernard Ndong’ and James Wokabi, and also freelanced as a sports pundit with Homeboyz Radio.
