MP Aladwa Accuses Sifuna of Aligning with opposition

The Makadara MP George Aladwa has recently disclosed that ODM’s Secretary General Edwin Sifuna could be ousted for disloyalty.

Speaking during a press conference in Nairobi on Saturday, Aladwa accused Sifuna of being a mole within the party.

He moreover alleged that Sifuna had shown intentions of aligning with opposing voices.

Aladwa further noted that ODM had previously seen powerful Secretary Generals who eventually exited after straying from the party’s principles.

”I want to warn Sifuna who refers to himself as the Secretary General of ODM that we have had many SGs who were way powerful like Ababu Namwamba and the rest. Even him, he will go the way Ababu did,” Aladwa stated.

Aladwa also asked the Senator to refrain from mentioning him, alleging that Sifuna’s days as a Senator were numbered.

”He should completely stay away from me. I have seen him throwing tantrums at me and I want to tell him that his days as the Senator are equally numbered,” Aladwa stated.

The MP’s comments came days after the Nairobi Senator stated that he would not support President William Ruto in the 2027 elections, even if the ODM party decided to back him.

Sifuna had emphasised that not even the party’s Nairobi leadership under Aladwa’s tenure could persuade him to support Ruto.
