Renowned journalist Ken Mijungu has parted ways with Cape Media’s TV47, weeks after his highly publicised arrival at the station.
It is alleged that Mijungu’s departure followed the management’s approval of his request for an early contract termination.
Reports indicate the letter was submitted just days after joining TV47.

Mijungu had formally written to the management on Friday, February 21, seeking time off to reflect on his engagement with the company.
”We acknowledge receipt of your email dated February 21, 2025, in which you requested time off to reflect on your engagement with the company. Having considered the matter, Management has taken the decision to revoke the Service Agreement dated January 31, 2025. This decision takes effect from February 22, 2025.,’’the letter read.
He joined TV47 in January 2025 days after announcing his departure from Standard Group’s KTN, where he had served for four years.
While exiting KTN, Mijungu revealed that his departure was contract-related, stating that he did not renew his contract.
