Mohamed Salah Extends Stay at the Anfield in a New Deal

Mohamed Salah has put an end to speculation about his future by signing a new contract with Liverpool.

The 32-year-old has officially extended his deal, which will keep him at Anfield until 2027. This is a significant boost for Liverpool, as Salah has been in outstanding form this season, helping propel the club to the brink of their 20th league title.

The Egypt international has contributed to Liverpool’s position at the top of the Premier League with an impressive tally of 27 goals and 17 assists. During his time at Liverpool, Salah has won a Premier League title, a Champions League title, an FA Cup, two League Cups, a UEFA Super Cup, and a FIFA Club World Cup.

“Of course, I’m very excited,” Salah said in an interview with Liverpool’s official club channels. “We have a great team now. Previously, we also had a great team. I signed because I believe we have a chance to win more trophies and enjoy my football. I’ve had my best years here. I’ve played for eight years, and hopefully, it will be ten. I’m enjoying my life here and my football. These have been the best years of my career,” he added.

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot expressed his happiness in a press conference:

“Of course, I’m happy. He has demonstrated, year after year, how valuable he is to the team and the club. The fans and his teammates are also thrilled that he has extended his contract for two more years. Hopefully, he can show us on Sunday against West Ham just how important he has been for us throughout the season.”
