Liverpool recorded their first home Premier League victory of the season on Sunday, October 25, beating Brighton 2-0 at Anfield to strengthen their position in the league standings.
The hosts took the lead in the 17th minute when Brighton defender Pascal scored an own goal.
Alexander Isak doubled Liverpool’s advantage four minutes later, giving the home side a two-goal cushion.

Liverpool maintained their lead for the remainder of the match to claim all three points and move into fourth place with 15 points.
The result provided a boost for Liverpool after a difficult start to their home league campaign.
Brighton, who had been ahead of Liverpool in the standings before the match, missed the opportunity to improve their position.
Liverpool will look to build on the victory as the Premier League season continues.
