Manchester United suffered another damaging Premier League defeat on Sunday, losing 3-0 to Bournemouth at Old Trafford as pressure continued to mount on manager Michael Carrick.
Bournemouth secured the victory through goals from Rayan, Marcus Tavernier and Evanilson, exposing United’s defensive problems and leaving the home side without a league win since August 30.
United captain Bruno Fernandes was left out of the starting line-up after publicly criticising Carrick’s tactics following the club’s 4-1 Champions League defeat to Como.

The defeat left Manchester United in 16th place with seven points, just one point above the relegation zone, increasing concern over the club’s early-season form.
Carrick acknowledged uncertainty surrounding his future, while stand-in captain Harry Maguire called on the players to take responsibility for their performances.
United now face mounting pressure to improve their results and move away from the bottom end of the table.
