Narok Senator Ledama Olekina has recently called out Health CS Aden Duale following his remarks implying that the Mt Kenya region sees itself as a superior community, warning that he risks impeachment.
Taking to his social media on Monday, August 18, Senator Ledama reminded Duale that as a Cabinet Secretary, he represents the whole country and should act as a neutral policymaker.
He pointed out that former DP Rigathi Gachagua was impeached over similar remarks.

According to the Narok Senator, CS Duale could also face impeachment if he continues with the rhetoric.
“Hon Duale, you’re a Cabinet Secretary—a policymaker—not a tribal politician. This weekend’s shareholding talk is pure poison, dragging Kenya back to the dark days of 2007 and spreading fear. We impeached DP Gachagua for the same divisive nonsense. I honestly wonder what our problem is as a country—just when we start making progress uniting Kenyans, people like Duale pull us backward. If you think you’re above the law, think again. It’s clear: impeachment may be the only way to remind you that the government belongs to all Kenyans, not your sub-tribe. Enough of this tribal madness.”
While speaking in Balambala, Garissa County, Duale stated that there is no superior community in Kenya, emphasizing that the constitution guarantees equality for all communities.
He claimed that President Ruto was being unfairly targeted for his efforts to unite the country.
The Health CS has since then received a backlash online with leaders criticizing him over targeting the Mt Kenya region.
