Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has passed the responsibility of abductions and femicide to the current Cabinet Secretary of interior at a press brief in Harambee Annex office as he officially took over the office.
This was in regardless to the question that one of the Presse’s asked him what his was legacy in terms of abductions and extra judicial killings that were rampant during his reign as the cabinet secretary of interior for the past two years because some of Kenyans questions about the issue had not been answered.
The deputy president said that for two years, he had demonstrated how he had struggled to secure the country from crime and from people who would have caused Kenyans harm.

Kithure added that he had told his journey, the places he had visited and what took him there, the work he had done with immigration and other places.
Kithure also said that he as he was exiting the office, it was a time where there were reports of cases of mysterious disappearances, abductions and femicide and he had handed over the responsibility of cracking down of those emerging issues of crime to the current CS, Musalia Mudavadi and wished he could succeed.
He said that apart from that, they had come up with strategy of cracking down the criminal behavior such as the Nairobi urban crimes and framework of accountability of all officers would have to be account for, which he had passed on to the current cabinet secretary of interior.
