Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has urged musicians and artists to form a national trust fund that will support their families in case of death or other misfortunes.
This he said during the burial service of gospel artist Betty Bayo.
“I am requesting our talented artists in the creative economy to come together and establish a big trust to provide resources to take care children and families of artists left in poverty,” Kindiki said.
“I will support the family of Bayo to ensure her children are well taken care of because they should not suffer yet their mother was a blessing to the church and the country,” the Deputy President added as he delivered President William Ruto’s support.
